Who invented what?

So, apparently Muslims invented everything. Now I am not to say that many important inventions didn't come from the middle east. But this site/show/book seems to want to indicate that pretty much anything you can think of came from MUSLIMS, not just the middle east but muslims. Despite the fact that the Islamic faith did not begin until 700 A.D., a lot of these inventions they are claiming as muslim were actually chinese and pre-islam middle east. Ah well, would we be human if we didn't try to rewrite history to suit ourselves?
