Almost a Year

Well it's been almost a year since my last post, pretty pathetic of me. I could make the usual promises of being a better blogger going forward but there is a good chance that is would just turn out to be a lie. I have had a lot of thoughts rolling around in the old noddle about art and my future and whatnot once they are more coherent I will try to put them down here.

In the meantime I went to the Calgary Entertainment Expo for the first time this past weekend and it was awesome. It was such a good time getting out of the city with my brother, sister, brother in law and niece. If you are a geek and are at all interested in artist endeavors then you must go to the Calgary Entertainment Expo next year. I got the opportunity to meet a lot of great artists, some that I was familiar with through the internet and some that I was discovering for the first time. I spent way to much money on peoples art books (and the secret desire of all geeks, a sword), but it was money well spent. With the exception of missing one panel (darn you dirty Twilight Fans, it was all your fault) the weekend went so smoothly I couldn't have asked for more.

Did this last night, wish the family was going there again this year. I can't say I like the food that much, there is a better place down the road, but it's location is suberb. Plus the fond memories of watching Beachcomers as a kid.

Time to get back to work.

Alright, so everything is back in order in my room time to get back at things. Sat down at my drawing table for the first time in awhile last night, scratched out some stuff. It did not go well. It sure is hard battling that voice that says I suck so why bother trying. With any luck tonight will go better. It is a really strange thing, I spend my day wishing I could draw all day and champing at the bit to get at it, but then when I get home and have the entire evening free to draw and whatnot I find a myriad of other things to occupy my time.
